November 28 – Beginning of the Nativity Fast.
Rules of the NATIVITY FAST:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday – fasting until the 9th hour (15:00), food without vegetable oil. Tuesday, Thursday – food with vegetable oil (breakfast is allowed).
Saturday, Sunday – fish is allowed.
Meat, dairy products, and eggs are not consumed until Christmas.
Every Wednesday, if there is no service in the schedule, we are reading
AKATHIST TO THE ICON OF HOLY LADY OF KAZAN.
This reading starts at 18:00 at the church.
Those who cannot come to the church may read this Akathist at home.
